Orchard Groundcare: Workshops

Our Pruning & Planting workshops are over for this year, but we will be offering our popular Cider-making workshops during the harvest. This one day workshop is for anyone who is thinking of making their own cider, or just wants to know a bit more about the process. Lots of cider tasting is involved, plus a hearty lunch and some hands-on pressing and bottling experience. You will leave with a 5 litre demijohn of juice to turn into cider over the winter.

Would you like to see your orchard glowing with health, the trees laden with fruit and the bees buzzing? Would you like to have your apples made into juice for you and your friends to enjoy? Would you like to plant a new orchard, or would you like to see an income from the fruit your orchard produces?

Orchard Groundcare can help with all of these things.

We are passionate about orchards, and their place in the landscape. We know a lot about growing fruit and we are enthusiastic about helping other people. We are working, with others, to put Somerset back on the map as the centre of apple growing, with its associated wildlife and heritage.

We manage over 700 acres of orchards for their owners, which involves pruning, planting, picking, harvesting, bees, grants and general care.

Orchard Groundcare is based at Hornblotton in Somerset, UK.
